Slop Bowls has long been in current use in England. Often of a large
size Slop Bowls, wich are sometimes called Slop Basins, were for  the used tea leaves
and residues to throw away. They were first made
of silver or Chinese imported porcelain. Slop Bowls' story seems to be firmly rooted to
the history of English porcelain making. Since mid-XVIIIth century Slop Bowls were part of
    tea or breakfast services.
Slop bowls are often mistaken for cream or biscuits bowls out of
England but they are never forgotten on British tea tables.
Whatever it may look like, straight-sided or round, with flared lips
or pedestral foot, with embossed or painted pattern, a Slop Bowl will easily seduce tea
    lovers and porcelain collectors.
